Future Hub Climate

the boost you need to kickstart your Climate Tech startup

Future Hub Climate

Future Hub Climate connects early-stage Baltic Climate Tech startups with established enterprises to be your testing partners and help you to further validate your product's readiness for the market.

The teams will undergo a 10-week-long individually tailored program before presenting their product testing results to investors at the Baltic Sustainability Awards 2023.

You will also gain access to the traditional pre-accelerator mumbo jumbo, but that's not the focus here.

  • What are the requirements to participate in the program?
The main requirement is dedication. If selected, we expect you to be an active participant all through the program and to value our times just as we do yours.
  • Does Future Hub Climate invest in the selected ideas?
No, Future Hub Climate does not directly invest into the selected companies. However, the program will try to help you with financing (up to 5k) for a prototype and give you a chance to potential investors
  • Will I have to give up any equity in my company?
No. As we do not invest in the companies, we also do not expect or require you to give up any equity. You and your co-founders will remain 100% owners of the business.
  • What does the selection process look like?
All through the open call, the scouting team will evaluate all the applications for eligibility. The eligible applications will be evaluated by the lead mentors and experts in the field of Climate Tech to short-list the applications that are the best fit for the programme. The shortlisted individuals/teams will be invited to a short 15-minute call to talk over your expectations and needs and to see if the program can meet them. The top 6-8 teams will be selected for participation in the program. The applications will remain open until September 12 or the moment in time we've found 8 teams that we like.
  • What can I expect from the program?
The experience might be a little different for each team. You will start with setting your individual goals together with the lead mentor. Everything that happens next will be aimed at achieving your goals and helping to solve your individual challenges. On top of that, there will be a few milestones that you will have to achieve at various points in the programme.
  • Where is the program taking place?
The program is fully remote and will try to be as flexible as possible.
  • What is the expected commitment? Do all team members have to attend all sessions?
If selected, you are expected to actively participate in all the sessions, especially live workshops, i.e. at least one person from your team should be present. When it comes to individual sessions, these might be rescheduled after previously agreeing on them.
  • Are there any geographical restrictions on who can apply?
Yes, we are looking for teams located in the Baltic countries. It is fine if teams are Baltic-wide as most of the program will happen ONLINE
  • Is the program free?
Yes, the program is completely free but we expect high activity and participation in the program if selected.
